I am trying to learn how to read and write in Cantonese so that I can communicate with other people on the Internet who can help me with my linguistic research. I know how to read a lot of words, but there are still a lot of words I do not know. There are a lot of phrases, especially formal phrases, and more literary phrases, older phrases that people don't use much anymore that I have not heard of and do not understand. However, I would like to learn them.
I grew up in Canada from a family with a Cantonese background and have some trouble memorizing the shape of Chinese words and choosing the right one for the right context.
I would like to spend one hour a week to learn. I am looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic about teaching Cantonese. If possible, I would also like to ask questions about older Chinese dictionaries, and I want to understand the classic poem with 1000 words.

I've learned a few things in Cantonese already but I would like to further my knowledge so that I can be more coherent in the language as well as read/write it. I am willing to spend my evenings and weekends learning. I really need to learn how to carry on a full conversation and not just sentences here and there.
I'm looking for a teacher who natively speaks Cantonese and I would like the teacher to be patient.
