Description |
Hello,
I am interested in learning French because i like learning new things and mainly because I have a desire to speak multiple languages. It also offers the potential to open up new opportunities with careers. I have taken french lessons from grade 1 - 9 but would say I am at the beginner level still. I would like to improve on all aspects of the language (grammar and conversation) and am looking at spending 2-4 hours per week in the evenings for lessons.

Description |
I'm currently looking for a tutor to assist me in learning these languages, and possibly others in order to obtain a position on a police force in Canada. Because Canada is so diverse in culture, the ability to speak other languages has become paramount, and I recognize this.
I am a Cambodian-Can adian, but unfortunately through the years, have lost a lot of the ability to speak Khmer. Much like my grasp of French, I still understand some of the language, but unable to take part in a conversation.
That is the root of my goal. I do not wish to read or write any of these languages, I simply want to be able to speak/underst and/instruct in them. In other words, carry on a conversation.
Because I am Southeast Asian, I would like to learn the other languages of that area as well.
I'm willing to dedicate as much time as needed to accomplish my goal. I am also aware that it is a lofty goal, and that it will not be reached over night. I plan on taking a moderate pace with these studies, and working on my proficiencies on language at a time. For example Khmer first, then French, then Cantonese as that is the order that I'm most comfortable with.
I'm a very studious person by nature, and do not 'bite off more than I can chew'.
I look forward to working with you, and together I'm sure we can achieve these goals I've created for myself.
Th ank you for your consideration .
