I'm currently seeking a teacher for Japanese. I hoping to improve both the grammar and conversation side of it. I took Japanese in high school, although I've forgotten a fair amount of it. I'm looking for 90-180 minutes a week. The goal for me is to, one day, teach English as a second language in japan. I feel the more I know, the better chances are to get a decent starting job. I'm looking for private face to face lessons.

I'm interested in learning Japanese because i'm planning a trip to japan. I'd like to learn basic conversation and grammar, I'm not interested in learning how to write in Japanese, I'd just like to be able to speak and understand it.
I have little to no experience in Japanese I would definitely consider myself a beginner. I'm looking to enroll in a once a week group class where I can interact and practice conversation skills with other class mates .

I'm currently attending the University of Alberta, majoring in East Asian Studies and minoring in Japanese (faculty of the arts). I just started basic Japanese this year with very little previous experience.
My goal in the future is to be able to start a career abroad in Japan. Although realistically I want to have a professional career in Japan, a teenage aspiration of mine is to start a band and connect with the local music scene.
I don't seem to have trouble memorizing different Japanese words and characters, including kanji. However, sentence structure (especially the use of particles) always gives me trouble!
I 'd like to spend at least an hour a week with a language coach trying to perfect this language, it's difficult but really fun and I look forward to studying it more and more.

I am planning to study abroad in japan in roughly 2 years and i need to pass a proficiency test to get into the school i would like to enroll in.
I am looking to learn to write, speak, and Hear Japanese with an ability to understand it. I will dedicate as much time as i can to these lessons. I am looking for a teacher who can help me find a proficiency test, prepare me for it, and will assign me proper at home tools to study and work on my own.
