Hello,
My name is Julia DiSano and I am interested in continuing my education in Japanese. I have just returned (5 months ago) from a one-year intensive Japanese language program at Kwansei Gakuin University in Japan. Prior to that, I also studied Japanese for 3 other years here in Canada (one during high school--every Sunday monring, and the other 2 years at university in NB). As a result, I am at a high intermediate/ early advanced language prficiency level, and am able to read about 800 kanji characters (though my writing ability my-hand is lower). I would like to partake in language classes this summer as well as, perhaps, individual tutoring on the same days. I am willing to study for approx. 2-4 hours 2-3 times per week, and hope to be able to converse freely in Japanese (to refresh my speaking ability, as I have no opportunities t practice that otherwise). Also, as I intend on teaching Japanese and English at the secondary school level, I would also be very appreciative if there were any type of job opportunity for me with the school.
