I'm really interested in learning Farsi as many of my friends speak Farsi. I've tried some online programs but I find it's really difficult to learn from the computer. I'm a beginner and I only know one or two words like 'Salam' which I learned from some of my friends. I would like to be able to speak farsi and understand the basics of the language so I can at least understand and maybe contribute to conversations .

Hey,
I have always wanted to learn farsi, and I just discovered that it is possible to learn in Vancouver with a turor. I would like to learn it because I have a large interest in learning languages, and I find farsi very intriguing, it would help me understand and communicate with particular spouses better as well. I would like to dedicate about 3-4 hours a week to this program, and I am a beginner, i would like to learn how to have conversation.

I wish to learn Dari/Farsi mainly for personal interest, and for potential travel reasons. I am also studying linguistics in College, so I am a pretty good learner. I speak English, French and some Spanish. I do not speak any Dari/Farsi so I will be starting at the very beginning. I am looking to spend about 1 hour per week with a teacher learning the language.
