I speak fluent Spanish and as a University student studying Latin American Studies, I would like to expand my knowledge of languages to include Portuguese. I am an absolute beginner in Portuguese. Next year I would like to participate in a university exchange to Brazil, so I would need practice in all areas of the language, written and spoken. I would probabaly like to take weekly lesson.

I am of Portuguese desent and I understand some of it and can speak back a small amount. I want to speak Portuguese with ease, my mom and dad say I did as a child. I found Spanish very easy to pick up and I was able to pick up a little Italian. I am planning to run the Lisbon Marathon in 2006 and while there plan to travel Portugal and Azores and I want to be able to talk to my extended family while there.
