To become fluent, as I have married a girl and have a whole family now that speaks it.

As long as it takes to become fluent. Would be willing to dedicate 3-4 hours a week

Doesnt matter, not a dating service haha, so Im not listing qualities in a teacher. Would mainly just like someone who can teach well and is very fluent, and easy to understand.

I am at a beginner level looking to speak Bengali.
I 'm interested in learning Bengali because I am part Bengali and can only understand a little when spoken to but cannot respond back. I'm also going to Bangladesh this Jan and was hoping to pick some basic knowledge.
I would dedicate 3-8 hrs a week on language lessons.

I am interested in learing Bengali as my father is from Bangladesh and can speak the language. Also I met some of my fathers side of the family and most prefer to speak Bengali eventhough some know english. This makes me feel embarassed as they can speak english but I cannot speak Bengali. My mother is from the West Indies where she learned english and my mother cannot speak Bengali. I am beginner who knows a few Bengali words. I would like to learn conversation to beable to communicate with people who speak Bengali. In Calgary I have some family who can speak Bengali and I practice what I learn with them.

I am interested in learning Bengali as my father is from Bangladesh and can speak Bengali. My mother cannot speak Bengali, but I want to learn as I want to connect with my fathers side of the family in India and Bangladesh. Some of my fathers family can speak English, but some choose not to speak english making it hard for me to talk to them and other do not know english. Also I am a beginner and know a few bengali words, I would like to learn to speak the language. Reading is not a concern for me but speaking is what I am interested in learning. At the moment I am living in a Town outside Calgary and will be living in Calgary to go to College.
