Description	I am learning for career advancement and general interest. I would consider myself at an intermediate level. Description	My wife and I are beginners. We have some knowledge of Spanish but are not able to converse and this is our objective. We are both retired and learning Spanish for educational reasons and to allow more scope fro travel. We will be in san Jose for 10 weeks from 1 Feb to 15 April 2006 We could devote 10 hours a week to tutorials - perhaps more to additional home study. Our expectations of our teacher is that they be proficient in the English language as well as their native Spanish. Also, that we are given clear learning objectives and tested against those objectives so we have some knowledge of our progress (or lack of it).
