I have recently moved to France and am currently working across the border in Vaud, Switzerland. I want to be able to communicate freely and also progress my career, for both of these to happen I need to learn French!
I studied French at school and came out with a good grade but I wouldn't say that i am much above a beginner standard. I need particular help with my grammar! I'd like to do an hour to two hours of lessons a week and then I would like to do homework as well.
I like to learn through doing and practising what I know, being able to use the French I learn is going to be key in keeping my motivation going!

I am residing in France from September 2005 and still can't speak French. The problem is, when someone speaks French I can not understand a word. My courses are in English and all my Friends are from outside France. I can read and write to some extent but can not understand very well.

Je m'appelle John, j'ai 34 ans et je vis en France depuis 1997. Ma nationalité d'origin est anglais.
J e me suis pas debutant en français mais je voudrais prendre quelques leçons en français pour ecrire et parler en français correctement.
Pendent mes 7 ans en France j'ai pris un peu près une année de cours en français.
Le maitrise de français est très important pour moi, parce que je veux bien faire ma vie en France. Je vis avec une française et même si je parle en français avec elle - j'ai toujours besoin d'être corrigé. Si c'est possible c'est mieux parler en français avec quelqu'un 'independant' que je connais pas. Comme j'habite dans un petit village ce n'est pas toujours facile.
