My wife and I will be moving to Sochi (Russia) next year for my work. We will be there for two years. Even though my work will be in English only we both feel it is important to learn some Russian now before we go.
We will move in April next year. The most important thing for us would be to learn basic phrases and words, to me able to recognize important words (hospital, police, Doctor, toothpaste).
For my wife and I it is important to have someone flexible (I travel a lot for work and we have a baby at home) and would be willing to come to our home in the evenings.
Neither one of us have any previous knowledge of Russian. I would sugges that twice a week for 2 hours would be a good start for an intial month and from that we can see how things are moving forward.
