In today's globalized world, proficiency in multiple languages can open doors to new job prospects, international collaboration s, and professional growth. Additionally, learning a foreign language enhances cultural understanding and facilitates communication with diverse audiences, which are valuable skills in various professional settings.
Specifically , I feel that I need particular improvement in conversationa l skills and listening comprehension . I want to be able to engage in spontaneous conversations with native speakers, express my thoughts and ideas fluently, and understand different accents and dialects. Strengthening my grammar and vocabulary further would also contribute to my overall language proficiency.

I am immensely enjoying studying Mandarin Chinese at university and I aim to eventually reach an advanced level of proficiency and understanding of the language and culture. I am currently a beginner as I have only studied Chinese for 5 months. I need particular improvement in daily conversation and grammar.
My aim is to dedicate 2 to 3 hours to my language lessons each week.
The qualities that are most important for me in a teacher are patience and the ability to explain concepts clearly.

I am happy to listen to anyone who is Chinese-speak ing. I have a qualification in TEFL - teaching English as a foreign language. I can teach you English for free, if you also teach me some Chinese. I am mixed race, Indian and European. My mother is from India, and my father was from Spain (he was pure Spanish). But my mother was half- pure Chinese and half-Anglo Indian. I would also like to speak a few phrases of Mandarin Chinese, and wondered if any Chinese speakers would be interested to do a language exchange with me - in return for me improving their English. I am a native speaker of English. I can also speak some French, and some Spanish. I am interested in Chinese culture like Tai Chi, Taoism, Confucianism and Mahayana Buddhism.
