I want to learn Dari so I can return to Afghanistan and build a school for women there.
I have studied the alphabet some but cannot recognize sounds when put together in words and have no vocabulary or know sentence structure. I am the epitome of BEGINNER.
People are telling me I am too old to learn a new language. I would like to prove them wrong. Besides, when I return to Afghanistan, I plan to live alone so my presence as an American will not endanger anyone. To live alone, I need to know the language enough to converse about daily things. I am an English teacher, so all my friends there have learned English from me. They live mostly in Bamyan and Kabul. Besides the school, I want to go and teach them courage.
I want to spend as much time as possible learning Dari, but $5 USD per hour is about as much as I can afford considering the amount of time I will be putting into my lessons with you.
Somet imes we can sit across the table while you teach me how to pronounce. Sometimes we can walk around outside while I practice pronunciation and remember vocabulary. But I need you to come to me.
Oh, and I need you to understand and speak English well enough I can understand you.
