I want to learn at least one South Indian language. Kannada is closest to Marathi.
I am a complete beginner. I know Hindi, English and Gujarati very well. I have a little knowledge of Russian.
I feel the need to be able to converse in Kannada. After Kannada I hope to learn all the Indo- Dravidian languages.

I'm interested in learning these three languages. In my profession, I meet people speaking these languages and so though of getting into them. I just can read hindi and kannada alphabets, but can't understand and I can speak none of them:-) I'm looking for teachers who can teach in person / online and give me a good start point for any of them. Prefer to join institutes if the fee is nominal.
I can spend atleast 2 hr per language in a week. I don't mind spending more hours if i get good teacher who makes language learning as fun.
As of today, I can speak, understand, read and write both Tamil and English.
