I'm interested in Arabic Culture since I enjoy art and history. I'm interest in learning basic informations about geography and cultural back grounds of the Arabic area in order to understand better relationships between Western Latin and Eastern Arabic civilization during late Medieval time. To start up, the Egyptian arabic area seems to provide lots of suggestions to draw an interesting information plan.

I am an absolute beginner with Arabic. My reason for learning is career-relate d, I work in the field of legal and judicial reform for an organization based here in Rome and am interested in opportunities in the Arabic-speaki ng world.
I am primarily focused in conversation, though learning some basic reading and the alphabet would also be desirable.
I would like to have two two-hour lessons per week in person, plus homework.
A teacher must be well-organize d, flexible and attentive.

Basically i am not taking classes for arabic.I have been here in Cairo, Egypt for the last 4 months.My mother is Irish and my father is Egypt so i decided its time to learn more about my fathers culture and language.
I do generally communicate quite well in Arabic but i have difficulty in holding up conversation and grammar also.I plan to return to Cork this summer to continue my education but also want to continue learning arabic.
I would be willing to put a lot of time into learning this language as i feel it would really advance my career in the future as i do hope to go to live and work in the U.A.E.
The qualities i would look for in my teacher would basically be that he/she would be patient and friendly!
