I am learning German as I want to live in Germany and to get the visa I need to complete my Level 1 Certificate(G oethe Institut). I am a beginner with no previous knowledge and need to be able to read and converse at a basic level. I work (shifts)so I can only spend xxxxxx hours per week on learning the language. I am not a beginner as I have been learing from textbooks for previous 12 months. I am not making any progress as I cannot get feedback and that crucial practice. I need a structured learning so that I can use the German language with confidence and hold at least 4 - 5 minutes of general conversation before I die. I find I get further then the greetings and a few words into the converstaion I am forced to use English words. I have worked on my own and when I read the text books and do the exercises I manage to do well. I do not think I am proficient German speaker. At best I am no better that a three year old who can just about say Ga Ga in German. I need 1-2-1 help. I need a understaing Tutor who can coach / force me to start using German. I have set aside 45 mins each day to learn German, but it is just not bearing any satifactory fruits. I prefer a female teacher as I think I have always responded to Female teacher at school better. Is there anyone out ther to help me out of my predicament - Thanks. I am reall desparate to make some head-way as this is bugging me as I have not achieved my resolution since last year.
