Dear Teachers,
Hello! I'm looking for a teacher who can help me improve my English conversationa l skills. My English is intermediate level but I want to practice it with someone so I will not forget. I'm also looking for a teacher who can teach me Polish and other European languages. I also want to learn more about the culture, traditions and history of my teacher's native country (Cultural Exchange). I prefer 2-3 hour lessons at a cafe or a place that my teacher recommends. I do translations from both German and Russian literature into English. My German proficiency is at an advanced level--albeit not that of a native-speake r. My Russian is fairly good, but has become somewhat rusty because I have had very little contact with native-speake rs in recent years.
I wish to raise my overall German ability to that of a native speaker--in so far as that is possible. And I would like to improve my Russian to the point that I can carry on a fairly complex conversation in that language without the other person having to speak at an unnaturally slow rate of speed or oversimplify his/her speech.
I'm interested in having lesson of 90-minutes or two hours about once a week, and am quite prepared to do any homework deemed necessary.
My ideal teacher would be someone who has experience in teaching the language and who is ready to teach me its complexities, especially as it applies to the arts in general and literature in particular.
