Description |
I would like to propose lessons of Russian but such that are not going to be usual ones, at least for this cite, as I read in many ads on it where people suggest 'effective', 'communicativ e approach', 'daily conversations material' etc. What I would like to suggest is: 1) interesting; 2) indeed effective; 3) intellectual; 4) beautiful; T hus, I do not suggest the very communicative approach, studying conversationa l phrases like 'How are you?', 'fine', 'how much is it' etc. All this and even much more one can find in any Russian phrasal book, which can be helpful to some extent if you are somewhere in Russian province and need to buy something to eat but in fact this is a very rare case, isn't it? So let us leave it to those who want not to study Russian language but to communicate with, say, Russian girls(definit ely not the most clever ones) on the Internet or looks for some other 'practical' profit from the language study. I however, suggest to study language, its beautiful grammar, its structures, copiousness of its vocabulary to 1) to acquire solid knowledge of the subject, which will help(and very quickly) to speak not Russian but good Russian; 2) to be able to read not (only) newspapers but the best Russian authors both in prose and in poetry in the original language; 3) to be able to (optionally) write good Russian. From what I said above it is clear, I hope, that I can not provide a lot of help on elementary or pre-intermedi ate levels of studying. Ideally, I would prefer students on upper-interme diate or advanced levels who want rather polish their Russian but if you are on a lower level and have a strong intention to read, say, Tolstoi in Russian and need someone who can guide you through the texts with many comments, notes on ethymology, syntax, style, along with references to additional literature you are very welcome. The main body of lessons might be studying samples from the best Russian authors and detailed analysis of them which itself can develop your language faculties quite extensively but it depends.
