I am a native English speaker and a speaker of German, Dutch, and French. Learning and teaching languages is a passion of mine; I have also taught English, German, and French. Now I am motivated to begin to learn Greek because my boyfriend is Greek. My goals are to learn some basics. The most important are speaking and listening, but I also would like to learn basic reading and writing. I live and work in Amsterdam. I am open to an exchange (Greek lessons for English lessons, for example), as well as to regular payment for lessons.

Hi,
I would like to learn Greek because my partner is Greek. I would like to follow private lessons (if possible) in Greek with explanations in English. Ideally, they would include reading, writing, Grammar, conversation etc. I am a beginner in Greek, but I do know the alphabet, so that is easier. I would like to have 3-4 hours per week.

My name is Tom and I have just moved to Utrecht. I used to live in London where I studied Greek for two years (based on Epikinoniste Ellinika) and was about to start my third year when the move happened.
Due to work, I would also be at an advantage if I learned Swedish in order to communicate with one of our vendors.
U nfortunately I don't speak Dutch (yet) so lessons would need to be in English.

I want to improve my Greek because I'm half Greek, at the moment I can understand quite a lot, but I can't really express myself. I studied Greek for one year at the University of Amsterdam so my grammar is suppossed to be quite ok. This was 2 years ago and I have forgotten a lot, unfortunately .
I'm mostly interested in conversation, though I would like to revise some grammar, and I would like to work on my vocabulary.
I want to have a lesson once every two weeks.
