My partner is from South Africa and I would like to be able to converse with him in his native language and also communicate with his family. I am wanting to learn Afrikaans as my partner is from South Africa and want to be able to have a conversation with his family. Have tried language apps and struggled to learn the language so looking for tutoring.
I am a visual learner so listening to words and repeating them aloud (as done in apps) is no good for me and I don't detain what Ive learnt.
I am a beginner and want to eventually be fluent.
I work full time so would be interested in after work hours during the week twice a week.

I come from south Africa and I have always been interesting in learning Afrikaans but my mom and dad wont teach me because we are 'English Africanas' also some girls at my school have recently come to nz and they tell me they are the boer but I would really love to be able to talk to them because of their limited English. I am a beginner to the language and I only know about 10 words. im wanting at least 1 hour a week.im also looking for a understanding teacher because my pronounceatio n is a bit bad.
