I live in Norway since December 2011 and have a permanent visa for work and live. My wife is Norwegian. I need to learn Norwegian (Bokmaal) as soon as possible mainly for professional business reasons as I work with International Management and Business Consulting, Finance, Investments and Legal. I am also fluent in other languages such as Spanish and Portuguese and am fairly knowledgeable in French and Italian and studied one year of German. My proficiency level in Norwegian is beginner. My priorities is conversation and reading (then writing). All day for the first 1 month. If possible go on a full day basis for 2nd and 3rd month. Then see with the teacher as I progress. Qualities I look in teacher are (i) world class experienced teacher with a teaching degree, may be with a University degree in Norwegian, teaching, good pedagogue (ii) dynamic (iii) good techniques.
