The reason as to why I want to be fluent Portuguese is that I want to take my last internship in Hotel Copacabana Palace located in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Because there is no way for me to be able to go around in Brazil just speaking english so i'll really need to learn on how to speak and write in Portuguese so that in the near future I'll be able to work there.

I would like to learn Portuguese because I have always been fascinated with that language. I am not proficient in it at all, hence the desire to learn. I hope that in time, I can be fluent in reading, writing and comprehension . It would be most gratifying for me if I can actually write articles in Portuguese. Alas, I don't have much time as work takes up my whole week, but I could have Sunday afternoons for it. I don't mind going slow as long as I can learn. I hope I can find a teacher who is VERY patient in teaching a beginner.

I want to learn Portuguese. I'm a beginner. Most of my friends back in Tokyo are Brazilians, and I love hanging out with them. They all speak fluent Nihongo, but I want to learn Portuguese so I can understand their language. And it's one of the romance languages.
