My husband and I are planning a 10 day trip to Lisbon, Portugal in November 2013. We will be staying in a hotel in the city center. During this time, we would like to schedule 10 days of private lessons for the two us. We are interested in 2 hour lessons per day. We are complete beginners! My first language is English and my husbands first language is Italian. The reason we would like to learn some basic Portuguese is because we will soon be adopting a child from Brazil. We would like to learn basic conversation for communicating with the child and survival Portuguese for getting around Brazil. We are open to lessons in either the early morning or late afternoon/eve ning. We would like to meet for lessons at the teacher’s location or at a cafe or bookstore. We are open to any possibility (even the hotel where we will be staying). Please write to us with information about your qualification s and fee per hour or package along with where you are most interested in giving the lessons. I wish to learn portuguese in practical reasons, since I will be spending my summer (2 month) in Braga, Portugal. In the future, the knowledge might be helpful for the career as well, because I'm thinking of going to Brazil for work some day. I am a beginner, although few years ago I started learning the language, but I ended after 3 month because of other reasons. I was studying spanish for some time before, but haven't been practicing it for long time. Nonetheless I think I have it in the back of my mind and it helped me in learning portuguese, because especially the words look very similar. I wish to acquire as much knowledge as possible for 2 month that I will be in Braga, but mainly conversationa l language is the priority.

Hello,
I am a patent attorney in the United States working with an individual (Wil) who is presently living in Cabeço de Vide, Portugal. I would like Wil to testify in English at the trial, which is set for September, 2013.
Wil is a native Dutch speaker, with a working knowledge of the English language. I would like him to meet with a tutor, in-person, at least three times a week before our trial date to practice orally expressing himself in English.
I will note that he has a heavy accent. In addition to generally developing his English vocabulary, I would like the tutor to help Wil with his pronunciation of words so that he may be more easily understood by a jury.
The ideal tutor would be a native English speaker who can help coach Wil both substantively and in pronunciation . A working knowledge of Dutch is preferred, but not required. Wil is able to travel to meet his tutor, if necessary, or I can compensate the tutor for travel time and expense.
