I am looking for a Chinese or Chinese-Ameri can teacher to teach my six-year old daughter and three friends, all adopted from China, how to speak, read and write in Mandarin. These girls have had a short introductory course, which ended over a year ago when the teacher returned to China.
The best teacher for our daughters would be someone who has experience with and enjoys teaching young children, and someone who has taught Mandarin to English speakers (all of these girls spent the first many months of their life in China, and thus, seem to be able to pick up on Chinese intonation better than most people starting the language), and whose English is fairly clear. Also, we are looking for someone who is able to teach the girls Chinese songs and poems, and other various aspects of their birth culture.
