I have taken two years of Chinese at my high school and for my graduation present I went to Taiwan with my teacher. I have recently been accepted for Teach for China and need to learn basic Mandarin before going (I leave in July2012). I have no prior experience in Mandarin and would be a beginner. I would like to focus more on conversation and understanding . Lessons two-three times a week for a couple of hours would most likely be good. I would like someone who is patient and willing to help me with my immediate language needs.

I am learning Chinese because it would be pretty amazing to be able to speak the language since most people usually take Spanish or French classes. I took a class for a week during summer school so I'm still a beginner. I would like to learn the language the best i can so how ever long it takes that's how long you will have me as a student. I would like for my tutor to be patient and very knowledgeable about what they are teaching.
