Hi I have been studying Tibetan for many years now. I studied Tibetan at the University of Virginia in Charlottesvil le in their intensive Tibetan summer program. I also lived in Qinghai for 3 years and was able to study with a tutor there. I would like to continue my studies. My reading is better than my oral skills.
I have also studied Chinese for many years. My oral skills are much better than my reading. I have only studied reading for 1 year and my writing is very poor. I would like to improve my Chinese writing skills.

I'm am a beginner in Mandarin. I currently work at a dual-language school in Chinatown, New York City where many of my students are from China. I am willing to dedicated a few hours per day to diorect instruction while in Taipei this summer. I would like my teacher to be patient with a good sense of humor and fluent in englsih so that I can ask detailed questions about the grammar. I would like my teacher to hold me to high standards as well.
