I am a junior at Kentucky Christian University majoring in Music Education and Intercultural Studies. I hope to travel to Haiti to teach after graduating in a few years. In the mean time I plan to travel to Haiti for several trips in order to work with some of the schools and missions in different areas. In order to more fully communicate the with Haitian citizens, I am looking into a way to learn the Creole language. At this point I know a few small phrases taught to me by children at the mission I have worked with. I have ad not formal training in Creole, but am very willing to learn. I am a full time student so I will be able to dedicate probably about an hour a week to lessons, plus practice time. I am looking for someone who is fluent in Creole and willing to work with someone in a flexible time schedule to learn the language.
