I'm looking to learn Dutch because I will be moving to the Nederlands in June of 2013 and I would like to be somewhat proficient. My boyfriend is from there and just recently moved back, although he is working in Germany. As of now, I cannot speak or understand any Dutch.
I'm looking for either weekly sessions or bi-weekly sessions. I'm also looking for a teacher who is extremely patient and can work around my schedule.

My reason for wanting to learn Dutch is simple. I am dating a man who lives in Belgium. He speaks english pretty well but none of his friends or family do. When I travel to Belgium I want be able to join in the conversations . I aslo want to be able to read it a little bit so that I can be more independent while in the country.
I am a TOTAL, COMPLETE beginner and have never tried learning a second language. I'm willing to put in VERY MUCH effort to learn as much as I can, about both the language and the culture. I'm willing to dedicate as much time as I can financially afford to.
The qualities I'm looking for in a teacher..some one who is consistant, organized, creative and patient. The perfect person for me would be someone who is just as excited to teach me as I am to learn.
I know that there are many different dialects within this language. The area of my main focus is NorthernBelgi um Zottergem area.

I would like to speak with you regarding lessons to learn Dutch. I am getting married in late August 2007 and will be moving to The Netherlands with my new husband (who is from Holland). Once I am there I will be looking for a job, so I would like to have at least the basics down. I am looking to start as a beginner. I read your profile and review and would like to speak with regarding your availability for tutoring for the next couple months. I also noticed you went to San Diego State University as did I. Also I work in the hospitality industry and have for many years, which I noticed you have a degree in International Hospitality management.
