I am interested in a variety of language because I plan to study abroad during my high school career. I have studied French for two years and have some experience with Sign Language because I work at a pediatric facility with children who only communicate through signs, but have yet to study Arabic or Chinese. I plan on dedicating the summer of 2011 to learning these languages, and I want to have atleast one lesson a week during the school year. I am looking for a patient, however extremely motivated and educated teacher.

I am looking to learn both Arabic and Italian. I have never studied either language before but I am a very dedicated student to anything I am learning. I am learning the Arabic Alphabet and Vowel Sounds of MSA. I have the rosetta stone software and some rudimentary vocabulary memorized. I have a few other workbooks and a phrase dictionary. I am learning Arabic because I am a soldier and I need to speak it fluently while I am deployed in Iraq. I need to increase my vocabulary and reach a moderate degree of conversationa l fluency before I deploy again. I want to dedicate about 1 1/2 hours a day to Arabic Study. I would prefer the teacher to be a native speaker but non-native speakers with exceptional fluency will be helpfull. The lessons should include two way conversations and on the spot corrections of pronunciation , grammer, and vocabulary. I am willing to pay a reasonable fee by the hour or a flat rate if lessons are local. My house is available for lesson time and I am willing to drive to the lessons as well. Lessons by Phone are also an option.
