Description |
I've always enjoyed learning languages, and would like to learn to speak them at a higher level. I studied Japanese and Spanish at different times during college, but I want to be able to continue my studying now that I've graduated, and I've recently taken an interest in learning Korean as well. I love learning about new cultures, and feel that this will help.
I am at beginner level for Spanish, and have forgotten most of the beginner Japanese that I knew. I have no experience with Korean.
I' d like to be more proficient in all sections, but find conversation and listening comprehension to be most difficult (the issues I had with both Spanish and Japanese when I studied them).
Dep ending on scheduling, I can dedicate time in the evenings during weekdays and any time during the weekends.
I'm looking for someone able to apply lessons to writing, speaking, and listening. I hope to become comfortable speaking clearly and being able to understand conversation in particular.

JAPANESE:
I lived in Japan for 4 years and currently work at a japanese company in wheeling. My reading is alright, junior-high level manga are okay. My speaking is strongest, no problems with most conversations . I cannot write but a few kanji. I travel a lot, I need a flexible schedule including weekends.
Expected: Highly professional and organized, not just chatting. Homework and due dates. Casual, business, and technical (engineering level -- mathematics, etc.) Japanese.
Areas of improvement: Vocabulary; I have gotten lazy with saying things the same way every time. Grammar; I respond to clear grammar structures well. Pronunciation ; mine is okay (i speak japanese 3-4 hours a day) but accents and intonation are wrong sometimes. (HAshi -- haSHI; ryoKOU -- RYOkou)
I would like to meet once a week, or more. a few hours.
The teacher should be a teacher. I am very picky about how I am taught, but every motivated. I would prefer a male teacher from the Nagoya area, but I am flexible.
SPANISH:
I studied for 3 years in high school, and 1 year in university, but I have forgotten A LOT! I speak english and japanese, but I need to travel to Mexico often for work and need to learn casual and business spanish.
O nce a week, a few hours, flexible schedule.
PROFESSIONAL - ORGANIZED teachers only.
