Description	Probably advanced beginner in Portuguese. I have a Brazilian daughter-in-l aw and am going to her home in Northeastern Brazil. Have been studying at Adult Ed program for about 4 terms, but there are no more advanced classes. Would really like to find a person from the North as the accent is quite differern from the South. Language background: speak French fluently, studied Spanish in college, Latin in high school, and Italian for the last five years - interspersed with Portuguese. Often don't know whether the word coming out is Italian or Portuguese - levels about the same. Need confidence in speaking - vocabulary, and need to be forced to remember endings for the tenses. Grammar is not so much a problem, as it mirrors the other languages I know.
