-I have studied Portuguese independently for about 2 years now, on and off. I spent one month in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil Summer 06'. There, my Portuguese improved dramatically! I am still very interested in persuing Portuguese, and hope to master the language quickly, and with little difficulty.
-I have always been done very well learning new languages. I speak fluent Spanish as well, and feel I have an ear for new languages, speaking tiny bits of other languages.
- I need particular help in verb development, with specific focus on appropraite conjugation in different tenses.
-I am willing to dedicate anywhere from one to two hours at a time to my language lessons.
-I am looking for a friendly, open teacher. Someone who is either native to Brasil or has spent time there, and is thus culturally savvy. Flexibility is also a plus.

I would like to move to Brazil part time and teach English. I am a beginner although I speak very conversationa l Brazilian Portuguese with friends. I'm particularly uncomfortable with my pronounciatio n, grammer, and comprehension . I have 9 months to learn and I'm attempting to immerse myself with reading Brazilian newspapers, music, films, televison programs, radio, books, and flashcards. I have been studying the Rosetta Stone and Pilsner method for one year. I can converse in Portuguese to a degree but lack interaction on a day to day basis. The reason I am learning Portuguese is for my career advancemant. I plan to dedicate 6-8 hrs a week when time permitts to learn the language.
Th e qualities that I am looking for in my teacher is someone that will cover all the bases to insure my grammar and conversation levels increases with each lessons.
