I am learning this language to better assist my unit and squad in upcoming deployment. I am a beginner with this language so I need help with all areas but conversation is most valuable area. I currently just started learning Russian. I have been working my way through the alphabet and some phrases and vocab. I am looking for a native speaker to make sure I am pronouncing things correct as well as help me work on my grammar and vocabulary. I am interested in learning Russian because it is my major. I have taken two years of collegiate Russian at the University of Minnesota but still need a lot of work to achieve my goal of fluency. I am wanting to learn Latin and Russian for personal interest. It would serve well in future endeavors, but mostly I am interested in learning something different.
For both I am at a beginner level, so there is no 'area for improvement' as all areas need improvement.
I'm looking to dedicate 30 minutes a day for study and at least 1 hour a week with a tutor. At this time I am looking for a teacher who is flexible in their teaching style and easy going.
