Hello
I would like to learn Russian because I have a lot of friends who speak the language.
I like the culture and want to learn more about it.
I would also like to visit Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakstan, etc one day and by learning Russian it will be a lot easier for me to get around and understand the culture.
M y proficiency is slightly lower then intermediate level.
I know the alphabet, to count, basic grammar and the 6 cases.
Instr umental, Accusative, Dative, Genitive, Nominative, prepositional case.
I can read, write and understand basic Russian.
M y pronunciation is good by my spelling and grammar need work.
I would like to dedicate 1 day a week (2 to 3 hours)
The qualities I am looking in a teacher is for them to be firm but fair in the way they teach as well as focus on learning the language step by step.
Such as spelling, grammar, pronunciation etc.

I have taken two college courses in Russian. More importantly, I have passed two college courses in Russian. The grammar really scared me towards the end. My grammar could use work, but I am really more comfortable with it than my conversationa l ability.
The language, especially the appearance of the written words, has always intrigued me. My family have Russian books throughout the house, and I have always wanted to be able to read them.
I am fine continuing my studies without a tutor or teacher. I am creating the account on this website to give a review a Russian teacher who really deserves a good write-up, Anthony Dahlen.

My friend and I would like to learn Russian. We have no background in the language. I am planning on adopting a child from Russia, but she just wants to learn because she's interested in the language. We are hoping to become proficient in speaking conversationa l Russian, as well as acquiring basic reading skills. We would like to get two hours of private instruction each week. We are looking for a tutor who has experience teaching beginners and would be able to meet us at a convenient location.
