Well I took up spanish when I was in middle school and highschool, so a total of seven years but I need to do more speaking. I took up Russian in colloge for a year and would like to keep up with it and achieve fluency as well.
I'm learning this language for personal use as well as career advancement and I want to achieve fluency.
I would like to spend at least 3 to 4 times a week doing lessons.

I am a beginning spanish student. I will travel to Lima and Cusco in September or October of 2008. I want to stay with a local family and attend classes part of the days for 3-4 hours or informally with someone fluent in both english and spanish languages. I could stay for 4 to 6 weeks depending on costs. My goal is to be able to speak well enough to travel and ask for what I need and to be able to have friendly conversations with local people. Good Evening,
I am interested in learning Spanish. I have been trying to teach myself through a program that I have purchased from the US Insitute of Languages on CD/Rom on my laptop at home. I am coming along alright, it gives me an opportunity to review the material over and over until I feel that I have absorbed it, but I would like to find a tutor in order to advance more quickly. I am very disciplined and serious about becoming fluent in Spanish.
