Hello! Hej!,
Jag heter James eller Jim. My name is James or Jim. I have lived in Europe for about 8 year and have visited Sweden a lot. Jag bor i Europe för 8 år och har beseker Sverige många. I fell in love with the people and the country and I would like to learn more so I can find a jobba and move there. I am about to retire from the military and will be going to school for international relations and moving to the Fort Worth area. Learning Swedish would be extremely beneficial for me in order to accomplish this goal. I talar Svenska liten med inte mycket. I speak a little Swedish but not much. I would dedicate all the time I had outside of regular school, which is online so I would have quite a bit of free time. I am looking for hopefully a native speaker but I'm not complaining if I can get to a 2 or 3 level in about 1-2 years. I would preferably like to learn in person. One on one or in a group would be fine with me too. I think that is reasonable. :)Hope to hear from someone soon!

I have used Spanish in a medical setting and German in conversation. I would like to improve both my Spanish (for professional and personal reasons) and German. I would also like to learn correct pronunciation s for words I sing when I record music. (I sing songs in Italian, Spanish, and French.) At this time I would like to focus more of my time on learning Swedish, as I have a longtime friend from Sweden (originally from Kariskoga, now living in Gothenberg) that I plan to visit soon. He and I have spoken of starting a life together, and learning the language could only help. I would rather show some initiative to learn a bit first instead of expecting him to teach me everything I need to know about the Swedish language and culture. I would like to become proficient in conversationa l Swedish in the span of a couple of months. I am looking for a native Swedish speaker, if possible, since I also want to understand Swedish culture, especially when it comes to courtship, dating, and religion.

Very much a beginner in Swedish. Started learning Swedish 4 years back and at one point was able to chat and type in Swedish but has since lost that ability.
I 've always wanted to learn Swedish since I was in high school but not many courses in Swedish were offered. Instead, I picked up Spanish. I am now looking forward to reacquaint myself with the language, from conversation to grammar and writing (and possibly some slangs).
I can commit a couple hours a few times a week. I'm seeking a teacher who is a native speaker and has an understanding of the current Swedish culture, such as slangs encountered in Swedish songs.
