I am going to be teaching English in Thailand starting this October, and I would like to have at least a basic understanding and skill level in speaking and writing Thai by the time I get there. I am an absolute beginner, having only self-studied the alphabet and numbers. I need improvement in all areas, including grammar, conversation, pronunciation , and general understanding . I would like to study at least twice a week, depending on location of tutoring sessions (I live in Olympia, WA and am willing to travel as far as Seattle a couple times a week). I am looking for a teacher fluent in Thai (or who is a native Thai speaker) who will be friendly and also challenge me.

I am new to Thai, I will be visiting Thailand next summer and want to be able to communicate with the locals. I would like to dedicate 1-2 lesson per week because I live in Olympia.
