I recently got back from a trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand and started picking up some Thai! Now that I'm back, stateside, I wanted to continue my learning to hopeful become somewhat fluent!
My proficiency is fairly low, I know how to have introductory conversations and how to order food. But rarely understand what is said back to me afterward.
I'm hoping to dedicate between 2 and 4 hours a week to learning Thai. More if possible, but I'm also working roughly 40 hours a week.
I am looking for a teacher who has a mastery of the Thai language as well as proficient knowledge in English. I'm hoping that they will be passionate about their language and culture and excited to share that with me!

Hello,
My name is Tyree and I would like to learn to speak Thai. My plans are to move to Thailand later in the year and I feel the need to get a good grip on the language before I make this move. Not only to learn the language but learn the culture aswell. I think this would be very beneficial if I'm going to start a new life in a foreign country. I've always wanted to go to Thailand. I know next to nothing about the Thai language (beginner). I would like to dedicate as much time as you can provide but scheduling our sessions around my culinary school schedule. I want a teacher who understands my needs as a student and knows how to make learning this beautiful language fun.

Learning to read and write in Thai has been a long time personal goal of mine, I can carry on a conversation in Thai, based off self taught methods (listening to Thai music, watching movies etc) but conversationa lly it is an area I would like to be more proficient in- so maybe I'm at intermediate speaking level and very beginning in reading and writing? Since I am motivated to learn, I plan on dedicating as much as 1-3 times a week to language learning, depending on how we can coordinate our schedules. I live in Seattle, WA and work a full time job, if evening or weekend classes are available, that would be preferred. I'm looking for a teacher who is patient, someone who can challenge and obviously, help me reach my goals. I will give my best shot and I can only hope that my teacher will do the same :)
