I want to learn Turkish as I am married to a Turkish man and do not want to wait until I move over there in two years to learn the language. I travel to Turkey every 3-4 months and I am tired of not understanding what everyone is saying. I know only a few words so I am a beginner and would be available for classes in the evenings after 6:30 p.m. for several hours a week. I would prefer to have classes with a small group but would be willing to do private lessons also. The main quality I would be looking for in my teacher would be patience.

My mother tongue is Turkish. I used to speak fluent Turkish when I was 5, but as I learned English, my knowlegde of Turkish got dimmer. Also, learning German and Spanish reaaly just knocked Turkish out of my head. I wanna re-learn Turkish because I can barley communicate with my family and I always need my parents as translators. I could never write in Turksih. I can speak some Turkish, but grammatical wise, I would only be speaking nonsense. I can understand A LOT (yet, not all...)of Turkish, but I am unable to respond back. I can and will sacrifice my weekends to relearn my language. But I am still in high school, so mon-fri, i am pretty busy. I need a dedicated, patient, and a nice teacher. I cant stand ignorance or when teacher thinks that she is always right.
