In April of 2008 I had my chance to travel across Turkey (from Istanbul to Van) and fell in love with the entire country of Turkey. Originally, my goals didn’t include learning Turkish but the more time I spent there the more I wanted to communicate proficiently with all peoples of Anatolia. To this day I consider some of my best friends to be Turkish and I want to show them my appreciation and love I have for them by speaking their tongue.
I want to be able to live, work, play, study, dance, tell jokes, make incredible friendships that last a lifetime, stay close with the friendships I gratefully share and show every Turk I meet that I appreciate them. I want to be able to travel to a small village in the mountains with my climbing equipment and my baglama and be able to communicate with ease and share my stories while they share theirs. Turkish was and never will be an academic language for me. For example, I am not going to attempt to master Turkish poetry, I don’t really care about learning how to read and write Ottoman Turkish literature nor do I intend to be able to write my thesis in Turkish. However, if I can use it towards finding work, then why not? It can’t hurt to have Turkish on a résumé (CV). But simply put, Turkish is a romantic language for me, it is all about friendships and love.

Beginner level, I'm learning it just because my fiance is from turkey and all his family as well.We might move to Turkey.
I'm looking for an intensive course if is possible a couple of hours a day every day.
