Hi, my name is Charlie Nguyen. I was actually born in Vietnam but I left my country when I was 6 months. My Grandmother brought my older brother,siste r, and I to the states. It was very hard for my family in the beginning, but through the grace of God, I met my adoptive mom and dad when I was 4. They helped us tremendously growing up. They are Caucasian so growing up English has become my first language. I was never really taught vietnamese but it's been something I've always wanted to learn.

Because I am marrying a Vietnamese girl and I want to retire in Vietnam so I want to be able to speak when I live there and communicate better with her family. I do not know but maybe few words but, I can count in Vietnamese. Three times a week and it would be nice one or two hour classes. I would like teacher know the customs well and patient I have many questions in culture but want to learn how to speak it.
