I would like to learn Catalan, because I travel to Catalunya twice a year, and I have many Catalan friends. I speak Spanish fluently and I love Spain. I know a few basic phrases in Catalan but I would love to learn more.
I need practice in almost every dimension of Catalan. However, knowing Latin and Spanish fluently really are a great help - I have almost no problem reading, but words that are more Catalan and Francophone give me some difficulty, as they are not cognates with what I know already.
I would dedicate at least a half hour a day to studying Catalan if I had a tutor.
I am looking for a teacher who is patient, social, and flexible - granted that I am going to try my best to be the same. :) I would like to be able to have fluent conversation in Catalan someday, so that whenever I return to Catalunya I will be able to speak more and more with my friends and not feel like an outsider when they default to that language.

ITALIAN: 1 year at collegiate level (ITA 101 and 102); practice on my own; since I am bilingual, Italian is not hard to comprehend.
