Description |
I have in the past taken three semesters of Irish and have some conversationa l experience outside of a classroom environment. Since time has past since then, I would rate my proficiency as beginner, but with the potential to quickly recover what I have lost. I have considerable training in linguistics and speak French and Spanish in addition to English.
I am looking to improve in both written, aural, and oral competency.
My reason for learning Irish is three-fold: academic interest, general interest, and career advancement.
I would like to dedicate as much time as possible, but in earnest, weekly lessons seem most feasible.
I am looking for either small group lessons or one-on-one instruction. Native Irish Speaker is a must, obviously. My previous instructor was from Donegal, and therefore that dialect is the one I am most familiar with. However, I am also flexible in learning new dialects, and would only stand to benefit from the exposure.

Description |
I would be a beginner and I am willing to works hours a week. I would like to at least meet face to face once a week to work on pronunciation . Plus continuous communication would help for the language to become more natural. I am learning this language because 1. I have always wanted to and 2. for a possible career advancement that will lead to a position in Scotland/Irel and. Areas I would need help would be conversation and the type of memorization that would lead to long term results not the typical memorize then forget. I would prefer my teacher to have a solid brogue accent when teaching so I could feel the words correctly both listening in English and Gaelic
