I am interested in becoming conversationa lly fluent in Bengali and am willing to dedicate 2-3 hours a week or 1-2 evenings a week to do so. My fiance is from West Bengal and I want to learn Bengali in order to better speak with his family. I am a highly motivated learner, I love languages(hav e studied both French and Arabic) and I would actually appreciate a tutorer who gives me homework to work off of as well and who can combine foci of both grammar and conversation.

I am a beginner. I would like to learn the language so I can communicate with my husband's parents and hopefully assist my husband in teaching our children the language someday. I also plan on visiting Bangladesh and would like to know enough Bengali to communicate with the natives. I would be willing to put in an hour or two 2 days a week to learn the language. I only want to learn how to speak the language, not write it.
