I'm a native English speaker and do not speak any other languages. My boyfriend is a first generation American and his parents speak little English. I would like to learn to speak Bengali conversationa lly in order to meet and communicate with them. I'm looking to dedicate once a week to my language lessons. I'm seeking a teacher who is a native Bengali speaker, but also speaks English well, and will be as committed as I am to teaching me the language. I would also like it if he/she could provide me with homework or resources to practice on my own.

Hello,
My fiancé is born Bengali, but grew up speaking English with his parents, so he never really learned Bangla. I want him to start fresh from the beginning so he can speak with my parents and also teach it to my future kids. I want him to learn conversationa l bangla in the correct pronounciatio n. No need for reading or writing. He will go to the tutor's house if needed. I will buy the lessons for him as a gift. Please help! Thanks!

I'd say I'm definitely a beginner at this language. I wanna learn so i can have regular conversations with people in Bengali. Well i have to say i need a lot of help learning this language. I can leave an 1 hour open to learn and on the weekends possibly 2-3 hours. I'm looking for clear understanding n teaching in the lessons or from the teacher. I'd like to start at an easy level and gradually progress each week or so.
