I want to learn Croatian because it is my mother's first language and both of my grandparents were born and raised in small Croatian villages. I understand a basic amount, however, I get nervous to speak. I want to be able to have conversations with my family members and be able to track the stories that are commonly told around the holidays. I would be able to dedicate 10 hours a week.

I would like to learn to speak Croatian more fluently because I was born in Croatia. When I learned English, I almost completely stopped speaking Croatian. I want to be able to communicate more clearly with my family back home.
I speak Croatian at an elementary level. I can hold a simple conversation.
My grammar is poor. I would like to learn to read and write also. When I speak, I feel that I am missing words. This makes the conversation choppy.
I would like to dedicate an hour a week to this language class. Maybe two.
I want a teacher who is compassionate , but will us push me. I tend to be shy when speaking in Croatian.

I am interested in learning Croatian. My significant other is from Croatia and we plan to take frequent trips to Dalmatia. I know some basic words and phrases. I need improvement in all areas, but would like to focus mostly on conversationa l. My schedule is somewhat flexible. Meeting in the evenings or on Mondays during the day are ideal for me. I would like to spend 3 to 4 hours a week (meet once or twice a week) with a teacher and do some homework outside of class. I would prefer to be in a class with other students.
