Teaching Approach

Program Description

Learn Chinese (Mandarin) with native speaker who has experience in teaching Chinese language to non-Chinese speakers. The classes and tutoring sessions are designed to meet your learning style and your level of needs. Learners will find the tutoring sessions enjoyable experience for those who are eager to learn Chinese language and its culture.

Teaching Experience

The tutor was born and educated in China for over 20 years prior to moving to the US over a decade ago. The tutor also taught at a middle school in China for 2 years and tutored Chinese language to American students for one year. In the US, the tutor also assisted college professors in teaching graduate courses. The tutor earned a doctorate degree from the US.

Teacher Training

Master of science in behavior analysis and therapy from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (SIUC, 2000); Doctorate in rehabilitatio n from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (2003). Teaching assistant for four professors while working on doctorate at SIUC.
