¡Hola! I am a native Spanish teacher by profession with qualified teacher status (CRB checked) and many years of experience teaching this language at differente levels. I am currently working as a part time Spanish teacher at an independent School in Reading, from year 8 to A levels and IB and I teach home-schoolin g groups in Basingstoke. Whether you’re wanting to learn a few Spanish phrases for your next holiday, want to improve your Spanish for your school exams or your job or provide a new language to your children, I offer proffesional private tuition and I can make a tailored plan for you. I will teach individuals or a group, all ages and levels from beginners to advance and I could help with: general conversation/ communication skills, discussion through the reading of newspaper articles, grammar, natural spanish listening, translations and essay writing.
W hat do I teach?
Adult s and young people whatever your reason for learning Spanish, I'm able to teach you:
to achieve up to C2 on Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).
GCSE , IGCSE, A Level and IB (Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing) All boards. I specially work to prepare the oral section of this examinations. I will use different resources based on your needs and interest and official resources for the exam. I can also help with homework and essays.

Children:

Teaching Experience

I am currently a part time Spanish Teacher and Spanish Foreign Language Assistant at an independent shool. Since starting there in April 2013, I have taught Spanish across KS3 and also GCSE, AS, A2 and IB in the oral sections. We follow the AQA course at A-Level and the OCR course at GCSE. I have taught IB year 1 and 2 oral sections, particulary focussing on the invididual oral part. As an A-level language assitant, I am responsible for planning and delivering oral lessons to prepare part 1 and part 2 of the Speaking test. At GCSE level, I have been responsible for planning and delivering the oral lessons and prepare pupils for the Speaking controlled assessment, giving detailed feedback to pupils as to how to improve. In addition, throughout my teaching career, I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach diverse groups of students from 3 years old up to adults and with a wide range of levels and abilities, both in Spain and in the UK, what has enabled me to become a highly adaptable and versatile teacher.

Where do you teach?
I am based in Basingstoke, however I also happily meet with my students all over Hampshire and surrounding areas. I usually meet my students at their place, their work, my house or a nearby coffee shop or library.
W hat are your lesson lengths and frequency?
L essons are a minimum of 1 hour but can be as long as you wish and it can be as frequent as you wish.
Do you teach groups?
Yes, I can teach up to 8-10 students at a time. Also, when there is demand, we host quarterly informal gatherings for students who simply want to meet and practice their conversationa l skills with other students of a similar level. I usually do this at a restaurant.
How do I pay for my lessons?
Pay ments may be made at your lesson or by bank transfer. Payments can be made in advance or on the day.
Can I cancel or reschedule my lesson?
I take great care into organising our weekly lesson timetable. As you can imagine it involves a lot of co-ordination to fit in various lessons on opposite sides of Hampshire every day. Therefore, if lessons need to be moved or cancelled that is absolutely fine, all I ask for is at least 24hrs notice so I can reorganise the diary and hopefully book another class in place.

PRICES: Please feel free to ask for rates for groups, adults and businesses without commitment, it'll be nice to hear from you. I could consider discounts if blocks of lessons are booked and paid in advance. I give lessons in my home and I can also come to yours.
