Teaching Approach

Direct approach is used in class which means that only the target language (Cantonese) will be used as the medium of instruction since the first lesson.

Th is enables a fast immersive effect. Even after the first session, the learner will be able to introduce themselves in simple Cantonese.

* * Please note I'm based in London but I travel regularly to both Sweden and Norway to meet my students. I mainly work with my students based in Continental Europe online.**

I have been teaching Cantonese and reading & writing Chinese for 16 years (since 2004).

My course materials are self-authored (based on cognitive and educational psychology principles) and correspond to Direct language teaching approach (please see below). Each chapter focuses on a specific language skill. Over time, as the learner will combine the skills and produce their own sentences.
I am an independent language tutor - meeting time and venues can be arranged easier than through a language agency. But I am also with a few language agencies, if you prefer it that way.
