I have been a Portuguese tutor for over ten years.
I adopt an informal and relaxed style where speaking the most in Portuguese is the priority. I really think that fun and relaxation are essential tools in the learning process.
In addition to native Portuguese, I am fluent in English and Spanish and I am learning Hindi and Arabic.
I have an excellent track record in improving students' fluency and confidence in using Portuguese in real-life situations.
I offer online sessions of Portuguese “à la carte”, adapted to the student, that is:
- I work with every level, fundamental to the conversationa l level where there will be an ongoing analysis of patterns of repeated mistakes, which will be later addressed in a more specific way. Typically, at more advanced levels, I like to devote ⅓ to half of the session to grammatical, more technical topics, and the rest of the session to conversation on a wide range of themes.
I also like to use a lot of media, such as videos and games, to work on pronunciation and vocabulary.
I truly believe that one of the most important aspects of tutoring is empathy, so it makes a lot of sense to have a first trial session where we can talk about your preferences, motivations, educational goals and how I can best help and coach you.

Olá, hello, hola ;) I'm Diogo from Portugal, it will be my pleasure to guide you through the portuguese language and culture. I have a passion for languages. I really enjoy tutoring, learning and always having fun in the process, adapting games, text comprehension , conversations , reading, writing, videos, and grammar exercises.
I studied Management and Informatics, and Digital Marketing. I have been a private tutor for over ten years now, I like to talk about every subject.
I am Portuguese, I currently live in Portugal always close to the sea, I am 37 years old. In addition to native Portuguese, I'm fluent in English and Spanish (I lived in Madrid for 8 years) and I'm currently enjoying Arabic and Hindi, I don't dance Bollywood yet ;).
I am very curious, I will be delighted to chat with you in Portuguese as soon as possible and share Portuguese culture and learn about yours.
I love different cultures, sharing views and perspectives, playing guitar, languages, the ocean, motorcycles, literature, sport, sociology, technology, economics,... everything interesting. ;D
