Teaching Approach
Our lessons will begin with phrases most Hindi speakers use in daily life, and that's where the similarities between my lessons and a language textbook end, because instead of mugging up phrases like new learners usually do, we will reverse engineer these commonly used phrases to get a grasp of the underlying grammatical structures that, when encountered head on, without any prior context, can seem daunting to new and intermediate learners alike.
And of course, I have infinite patience for my students, so if there's a concept that you struggle with, I promise, we will work on it together until you have a crystal clear understanding of it. In my class, we don't skip topic just because they were taking too much time or effort to explain/under stand.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Program Description
Learning a new language such as Hindi can be daunting, and even if you cross the initial threshold of picking up a book, there's one thing that no grammar or language book can give you: It's the natural feel for the language that only a native speaker have, and that, dear reader, is where I come in.
Join me, as we learn Hindi in a way most native speakers do, which, surprisingly, is not even close to what grammar books will have you believe. Learn to speak and comprehend this beautiful language like a native, and get that edge over other textbook learners that will propel you to almost-native fluency.

Teaching Experience
From teaching Japanese friends to acquaintances from the Philippines, I've encountered (and taught) a wide variety of people with different learning styles and pace, and whether you have a prior understanding of the language or not, a tailor made learning plan can be devised to suit your learning needs.

FAQs:
1. Will I need any prior experience with the language (Hindi)?
A . No, not really, all I ask you, is to be a keen learner, and have a good enough grasp of English to be able to communicate your doubts and questions to me adequately.
2. Will I need any particular textbook for this?
A. You are free to choose a textbook of your choice, but from what I've learnt, the "textbook Hindi" and real, natively spoken Hindi are two completely different things in the way they're written and spoken, so we're going to have to depart from the textbook lessons at some point anyway.
3. I want to learn only written (formal) Hindi, will this course work for me?
A. Short answer? No. This course is primarily for people who want to learn Hindi to be able to converse with the locals and other native speakers in a way that doesn't make them stand out as a "foreigner". My goal is to give you that edge over textbook learners by teaching you how the language is actually used in India and other places where Hindi is a widely spoken language.
4. Will I be able to understand Urdu as well after this?
A. Sort of. See, Urdu and Hindi are sister languages and are virtually the same in terms of grammar and sentence construction, but there are a few nouns and honorifics that differentiate the two languages, so you'll be 95% of the way there, but if you speak Hindi to an Urdu speaker, while they will be able to fully understand you, they will be able to tell the difference.
